Inspector I (12-Hour Day Shift)

About The Position

The Inspector I visually inspects filled product from the filling line in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The role works in the Capping Department and off-line inspection area and requires knowledge of the procedures and equipment used in both areas. The position includes inspecting product for defects, documenting work and quality checks, operating inspection and capping equipment, completing filling-operation start-up procedures, calculating inspection results, reconciling batch components, handling vials, and moving pallets. The company describes employment as at-will and not guaranteed or permanent.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Basic math skills for required multiplication and division calculations.
Visual ability to detect defective vials.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Maintain acceptable visual acuity.
Maintain visual inspection qualification requirements.
Effectively speak, read, write, and understand English to perform the essential functions of the position, including independently understanding English-language policies, procedures, training materials, and workplace communications.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of pharmaceutical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect products for various defects.
Accurately and promptly document work.
Comply with current SOPs and cGMPs.
Set up, adjust, and operate equipment such as inspection machines and cappers.
Perform and document critical filling-operation start-up procedures, including filter integrity tests, line clearance, and component verification.
Perform and document quality checks on product.
Calculate the percentage of defective items based on inspection results and reconcile components on the batch record.
Load and unload vials from turntables.
Stack, wrap, and move pallets of product.
Perform other duties as assigned.
