Inspector I (12-Hour Overnight Shift)

About The Position

The Inspector I is responsible for visually inspecting filled product from the filling line in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). The role works in the Capping Department and the off-line inspection area and requires knowledge of the procedures and equipment used in both areas. The position is hourly, with a rate of $22.00 per hour and an overnight shift differential of $1.75 per hour. Employment is at-will and does not guarantee permanent employment.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent.
Basic math skills, including multiplication and division, to perform required calculations.
Visual ability to detect defective vials.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Maintain acceptable visual acuity.
Maintain visual inspection qualification requirements.
Effectively speak, read, write, and understand English to perform essential job functions and independently understand workplace materials and communications.

Nice To Haves

One to three years of pharmaceutical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Visually inspect products for defects.
Document work accurately and promptly.
Comply with current SOPs and cGMPs.
Set up, adjust, and operate equipment such as inspection machines and cappers.
Perform and document critical filling-operation start-up procedures, including filter integrity tests, line clearance, and component verification.
Perform and document product quality checks.
Calculate the percentage of defective products based on inspection results and reconcile components on the batch record.
Load and unload vials from turntables.
Stack, wrap, and move pallets of product.
Perform other duties as assigned.
