About The Position

Our Quality Assurance Inspectors are responsible for performing visual inspection of purchased materials using manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and workmanship standards to approve or reject units. The Quality Assurance Inspector will also verify vendor supplied documentation including packing lists, OEM/OCM, Date/Lot Codes, certificates of conformance, First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), test data and other required deliverables. The Quality Assurance Inspector insures delivered materials meet company, industry and customer standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience.
  • 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience performing visual inspection on Circuit Boards (CCA’s), using a microscope
  • Experience performing visual on Electromechanical Assemblies, Electrical Cables
  • Current certifications or the ability to complete the following certifications: IPC-A-610H, IPC-WHMA-A 620D, IPC-A-600K
  • 5+ years experience within the DoD environment
  • Technical experience/education is desired

Responsibilities

  • Inspection and verification of vendor supplied materials and their associated documents.
  • Able to read, interpret and inspect to various related inspection plans, drawings, specifications, workmanship standards and other documents.
  • Able to learn and utilize the established QMS tools used including SAP ECC, SAP ME and Team Center, and Microsoft Suite.
  • Identify nonconforming conditions and document the nonconformance, in writing, in a quality notification.
