Inspector B (Quality)
About The Position
The Inspector B in-house product role supports manufacturing quality by inspecting in-house fabric details, fabric assemblies, and static and mechanical assemblies. The position performs applicable tests to verify products conform to drawings, standards, and specifications, and completes the documentation and reports associated with inspections. The role requires proficiency with inspection tools, the ability to interpret technical documents, and collaboration with production and engineering teams. Successful candidates must complete a background check and drug screening.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2–3 years of inspection or related experience.
- Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, bore gages, dial indicators, pressure testers, coating thickness meters, and similar tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing processes.
- Must adhere to company policies and safety requirements.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Inspect in-house parts and assemblies using precision and specialized tools.
- Inspect fabric details, fabric assemblies, and static and mechanical assemblies.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, and military standards.
- Perform functional, electrical, leak, pressure, and finish tests.
- Complete documentation and reports associated with inspections.
- Assist Inspector A with tooling and part inspections when required.
- Follow company policies and safety requirements.
