About The Position

The Inspection Operator will be responsible for performing SEA inspections, drifting using a micrometer, and measuring imperfections with a depth gauge or wall thickness gauge, all under supervision. This role requires adherence to NOV Company and HSE procedures, maintaining a clean workspace, and performing other duties as assigned by the Supervisor. The EMI Inspection Operator will operate tubing through an EMI unit and use pit gauges and UT Thickness gauges to assess wall loss on service-induced defects.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of pipe and pipe handling
  • Prior inspection experience
  • BIT and MAG II Certification
  • Ability to work with others on an inspection line
  • Self-initiative and leadership skills
  • Basic Math Skills (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)

Responsibilities

  • Perform SEA Inspection.
  • Drift using a micrometer.
  • Measure imperfections using a depth gauge or wall thickness gauge.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work station and surrounding areas.
  • Run tubing through an EMI unit.
  • Use pit gauges and UT Thickness gauges on service induced defects to determine wall loss.
