About The Position

Guardian is seeking a motivated individual to join their team as an Insights and Reporting Lead, Group Benefits. This role will support the Group Benefits Underwriting team on all business insights and analytics needs. It is a visible role with the opportunity to make an impact and work directly with leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and reporting Underwriting and Inforce book insights including persistency, rate, pricing, and profitability. They will also be a storyteller with extensive experience developing and presenting executive-level insights, identifying emerging trends, understanding key metrics, and communicating operational and financial impacts. The role requires advanced reporting, technical, and analytical capabilities with an emphasis on front-end storytelling (PowerPoint, Tableau, Excel), strong project management skills to juggle priorities and deliver high-quality products on time, and experience partnering cross-functionally to achieve shared business objectives. The ideal candidate is collaborative, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and has a sense of urgency.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of progressive Underwriting analytics experience within Group Insurance a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, deep understanding of Underwriting value chain.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Tableau skills.
  • Proven ability to complete high quality work efficiently and increase autonomy over time.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Organizational savvy with ability to influence.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, who is comfortable presenting.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States, without the need for employer sponsorship.
