About The Position

The Inside Sales Support position provides sales, administrative, and customer service support for Living Earth’s landscape materials operations. This role assists customers with pricing, quotes, order entry, product availability, and delivery coordination while partnering closely with dispatch, yard operations, and sales leadership to ensure accurate, timely service. The position is expected to deliver a high level of customer responsiveness, order accuracy, and operational support in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, order entry, dispatch support, or administrative support
  • Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Basic math skills and the ability to review quantities, pricing, tickets, and other sales-related documentation.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred

Nice To Haves

  • experience in landscape materials, construction materials, trucking, or a related industry preferred
  • experience with ERP, CRM, dispatch, or order-entry systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inbound customer calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries.
  • Assist customers with product information, pricing, availability, and delivery options for mulch, soils, compost, sand, gravel, and other landscape materials.
  • Prepare customer quotes and convert approved quotes into accurate sales orders in company systems.
  • Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, yard personnel, and management to ensure orders are scheduled, fulfilled, and delivered correctly.
  • Communicate with customers regarding order status, delivery timing, changes, backorders, and service concerns.
  • Support outside sales representatives by preparing quotes, pulling customer information, monitoring open opportunities, and following up on pending items.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, assist with new customer setup, and process invoices, credits, and related sales documentation as needed.
  • Help resolve customer complaints, order discrepancies, and service issues in a professional and timely manner while maintaining strong internal and external relationships.
