About The Position

The Inside Sales – Multifamily & OEM will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the OEM and Multi-Family business across North America. This includes increasing revenue with existing accounts, creating operating plans to grow their revenue, and developing strategic partnerships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related training; or equivalent education.
  • Self-disciplined – ability to choose task, create a plan, and execute that plan.
  • Ability to think on feet in selling situations and make decisions in the selling process in line with company guidelines and objectives.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
  • Desire to probe into situations and uncover opportunities that may not be obvious.
  • Skilled at motivating others to carry through plans and commitments.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Responsibilities

  • Support all aspects of the OEM & MF business to meet or exceed financial and business goals.
  • Growing AprilAire branded products through distribution opportunities and executing strategic initiatives with the national sales team.
  • Analyze sales data by customer and product category, identify weaknesses in sales strategy, and make improvements to annual plans and execution.
  • Utilize both BIM Object & construct connect for lead generation, preliminary vetting and disbursement to the field sales force
  • Provide project quotes based on approved guidelines established in the MF business
  • Track SPQ to order fulfilment to ensure pricing/sales integrity
  • Manage OEM order process and resolve discrepancies (pricing, MOQ’s etc.)
  • Primary contact for OEM’s for non-strategic issues
  • Ensure forecast, sales planning and product transfer data is received in a timely manner
  • Support price changes in the marketplace and insure all customers have updated to date pricing
  • Responsible for the sales of OEM branded humidifiers, air cleaners, zone comfort control, thermostats, ventilation, and dehumidification to manufactures in the HVAC industry.
  • Direct communication with of all OEM Customers.
  • Monthly activity report to Director of Sales.
  • Travel in the field to support local sales efforts, technical training at mechanical engineering firms and architects.
  • Act as a technical resource to customers to address and resolve inquiries and problems.
  • Provide feedback on sales activity and make recommendations to help in reaching sales objectives.
  • Determine and prepare quotations based on product selection according to established procedures.
  • Communicate with accounts via phone and written correspondence in accordance with established procedures.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of customer satisfaction and service.
  • Determine, submit and develop ideas such as investigating alternate products to fit customer needs, reduce product costs and provide better service.
  • Work on special projects as mutually determined supervisor. These projects can be short-term or long-term and are to be completed on an agreed upon time frame.
  • Follow-up and carry-through to conclusion those opportunities for additional business.
