About The Position

This role is for a leader who excels in managing and developing a team, building relationships, and ensuring an elevated level of customer service within a sales environment. The Inside Sales & Service Manager will oversee all aspects of performance, sales operation, and financial performance of the Inside Sales team. This includes managing, recruiting, hiring, and training inside sales personnel, setting clear performance expectations and goals, and conducting regular performance evaluations. The manager will also work with PCM to establish revenue and margin targets, set individual sales goals, and hold salespeople accountable. Analyzing financial reports and implementing strategies to increase sales, improve operating efficiencies, manage assets, and increase return on investment and profit sharing are key responsibilities. The role involves effectively managing customer contacts and relationships to provide excellent customer service, build sales volume, and increase customer satisfaction. Attracting and retaining customers, building community relationships through local marketing, hosting events, and attending industry functions are also part of the role. The manager must conduct all business in accordance with Company policy and procedures, maintain a safe working environment, and safeguard Profit Center assets. Completing assigned safety and compliance training and performing other reasonably related duties are also expected.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in customer service or inside sales; contractor sales preferred.
  • 1+ year of leadership experience
  • Knowledgeable of products sold in the Profit Center and effective sales techniques.
  • Possess leadership qualities and be viewed as a leader.
  • Have experience promoting a productive and positive team environment, coaching staff to do their best work to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and a high standard of integrity.
  • Be able to build and maintain quality relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
  • Possess strong personal sales skills and the ability to lead a highly effective sales team.
  • Be able to interpret financial report data to determine success/failure of plans and to take appropriate action to adjust business plans ensuring success.
  • Effectively use Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel) to communicate via email, to maintain weekly sales plans, call reports, and customer contact files, and to analyze customer data.
  • Demonstrate outstanding customer service, telephone/verbal communication, and generous listening skills.
  • Be able to learn and operate the computer related systems used to process orders.
  • Be able to learn to operate warehouse material-handling equipment.
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Responsibilities

  • Safeguard and maintain all Profit Center assets – buildings, fleet, equipment, inventory, and receivables.
  • Successfully complete required safety and compliance training programs as assigned.
  • Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
