About The Position

The Avensys Service Team supports a wide range of equipment covering the environmental and instrumentation markets. Based in our Oakville office, your main duties will include working on various equipment, effectively troubleshooting equipment independently, quoting/following up with customers, and being a good representative of the company’s service efforts. Providing top-notch customer service and a positive attitude are essential. This is a full time position in the office 5 days a week. Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 CAD per annum, salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Summary: The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for supporting the outside sales representatives in dealing with technical matters related to their customers in their territories. The Sales Representative will gather process data and analyze the requirements to prepare appropriate quotes and proposals for the applications. The work involves providing impeccable customer support and service. The role also includes project management and execution. The successful candidate will support the sales team to achieve the sales budget. This position requires the candidate to be able to communicate with the clientele across the country and suppliers from around the world.

Requirements

College or University degree in a technical discipline or equivalent
5 to 10 years of proven experience as a Customer Service Representative in a sales-oriented environment
Familiarity with technical products and a demonstrated ability to effectively understand and communicate technical information
Attention to detail
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Interpersonal and Time management skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer skills with proficiency in ERP software, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Possess a solid technical background and understand the industrial application/processes

Responsibilities

Analyze and validate client’s requirements and respond to requests for quotation
Consult with colleagues and our Principals on the best approach and most suitable product to offer
Work with the Territory Sales Representatives to increase overall sales by analyzing requirements and preparing technical quotes and other documents, including formal RFQs
Manage, maintain and proactively develop productive relationships with existing and new customers
Maintain strong relationships with Principals and suppliers
Deal with suppliers and customers in a respectful and professional manner
Participate in business development and marketing campaigns
Update and help manage opportunities and contacts in the CRM
Participate in webinars and other online training offered by the Company’s principals
Participate in warehouse inventory counts
