About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative plays a pivotal role in driving sales growth through a consultative sales approach, leveraging technical knowledge of specialty building products to our customers. This individual will work closely with internal teams and customers to ensure a seamless and positive experience.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales environment preferred
  • Building material/industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong aptitude to learn product knowledge and effectively utilize resources to solve problems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical details clearly and confidently.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and across departments.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to take on additional responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and closes transactional sales opportunities within designated territories or specialties.
  • Provides expert product knowledge to customers, ensuring they have the necessary information to make informed decisions.
  • Responds promptly to inbound inquiries and resolve customer questions regarding generalized product questions.
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with new and existing customers to drive repeat business and uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Prepares detailed customer quotes, processes orders, and manages customer credits efficiently.
  • Initiates RMAs, credits, and adjustments as needed, and provides initial support for field-related concerns.
  • Collaborates with the Purchasing team to set product pricing parameters and maintain competitive offerings.
  • Manages time effectively to ensure timely communication and project fulfillment.
  • Works closely with Operations to ensure accurate order fulfillment and delivery timelines.
  • Acts as a liaison between internal departments and customers to facilitate efficient solutions.
  • Represents Coastal in a professional manner and build strong partnerships with clients.
