About The Position

North West Rubber Ltd., founded in 1968, is a fast-growing, established manufacturer and installer of premium playground safety surfacing solutions. They produce high-performance rubber tile systems that help cities, schools, parks, and recreation departments create safer, more inclusive play environments that meet or exceed ASTM and ADA standards. The company partners exclusively with a network of authorized dealers and distributors who supply and support the parks & recreation industry across North America. Today, North West Rubber is one of the largest rubber mat manufacturers in the world, with manufacturing facilities in Canada (British Columbia, Ontario, & Quebec), in the USA (Texas), and in China, distributing products globally. The Inside Sales Representative's area of responsibility will pertain to all areas of the business (Commercial, Retail and Agriculture). The primary responsibility is to support the outside sales activities to ensure that sales and gross profit targets are met and exceeded.

Requirements

  • Sales & customer service training and/or equivalent experience
  • Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills is required
  • Ability to quickly learn new product knowledge
  • Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and experience with CRM and ERP systems
  • Willingness to travel and valid passport are a must

Nice To Haves

  • French language proficiency
  • Sales experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Assume ownership and manage the quote and order process from start to finish ensuring an excellent fulfillment rate all the while updating the Customers and sales team of order status or any changes
  • Support the outside sales team to ensure that they reach budget
  • Assume ownership of CRM (Salesforce) and Opportunity Funnel
  • Assisting outside sales representatives in daily office duties, answering incoming inquiries, maintaining flow of communication, continuing to build customer relations and interacting with all departments to enhance sales company wide
  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of current and prospective customers
  • Researching potential leads from business directories, web searches, or digital resources
  • Cold Calling; making multiple outbound calls to potential clients
  • Daily communication with Supply Chain Department
  • Communicating sample requests from customers to Receptionist
  • Assisting with coordination of tradeshows with the Marketing Department and Outside Sales members
  • Improving profitability/sales and generating leads by cross-selling, up-selling, and offering promotional sale items
  • Providing moderate technical support and services to customers
  • Discussing product requirements and expectations with customers and recommending specific products and solutions
  • Other job-related tasks as assigned
