About The Position

Fluid Flow Products, an industry-leading distributor of engineered equipment, is seeking an Inside Sales and Service Support professional for an immediate opening in their Charlotte, NC office. This well-established firm serves large manufacturing sites in the Southeast and is supported by a parent company with investments across the United States and Canada. The Charlotte operation specializes in the sale and service of compressed air systems, thermal fluid heaters, rotating equipment, and filtration. The successful applicant will support the field sales and service business by coordinating jobs from purchase order to invoice, acting as Service Support, and assisting the outside sales team. This role involves quoting parts and service, entering new orders, expediting parts orders, maintaining customer relationships, providing pricing and availability, following up on orders, handling inquiries professionally, funneling leads to the sales team, resolving product issues, arranging service schedules, invoicing completed work, coordinating rental equipment shipments, end-of-month reporting, arranging technician safety training, and maintaining files in Salesforce and Field Service Management.

Requirements

  • Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency
  • Salesforce/FSM experience a plus
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Good research skills, using existing files (paper and electronic) from our records
  • Ability to work under a deadline
  • Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous requests
  • Order Processing, Expediting
  • Digital Filing
  • Ability to work 8 AM to 5 PM Monday-Friday at the Shopton Road Charlotte, NC office

Responsibilities

  • Quoting parts as well as service
  • Entering new orders
  • Expediting parts orders
  • Maintaining and cultivating positive customer relationships
  • Providing price and availability on any standard or specialty items directly to customers
  • Expedite orders and maintain contact with customers and suppliers
  • Follow up on orders to ensure critical deliveries
  • Handle all inquiries/contacts in a professional manner
  • Work in concert with our outside sales team; funnel leads/opportunities to the sales team
  • Resolve product issues or determine product needs over the phone or via e-mail
  • Communicate with customers and colleagues to arrange service schedules
  • Invoicing work that has been completed
  • Coordinate the shipment of rental equipment
  • End-of-month reporting for hours worked at key customer sites for safety records
  • Arranging safety training for Technicians as Service Support
  • Maintain files in Salesforce and Field Service Management with Service Coordinator as needed
