MTH Pumps of Plano, IL is seeking to hire a full-time Inside Sales Representative with industrial sales experience to join our growing team. This position offers a competitive wage of (ranging from $19 - $27 hourly ( based upon experience ) , $1 increase after 90 days, tuition reimbursement, and we offer medical and dental insurance . A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE As an Inside Sales Representative, no day is ever the same. The primary role of the ISR is to ensure that customers requests/orders are communicated timely and accurately. Tasks will range from order processing to assisting customers with simple inquires to problem solving to developing relationships with our next million-dollar customer. Growth potential is unlimited.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of inside sales, customer service, or industrial sales experience.
  • Experience in pumps, fluid handling equipment, industrial manufacturing, or OEM markets preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM/ERP systems.
  • Self-motivated with a strong customer-service mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with industrial pumps, motors, valves, or related mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of OEM and industrial distribution channels.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to understand pump applications and performance requirements.
  • Positive attitude and the drive to be successful in a team-driven environment.
  • Organized with great attention to detail.
  • Interested in learning new skills.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, and online channels.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations for industrial pump applications.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide product recommendations and application assistance for regenerative turbine pumps.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, OEMs, contractors, and end users.
  • Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor open quotes and proactively pursue sales opportunities.
  • Assist outside sales representatives with customer support and account management activities.
  • Resolve customer concerns and coordinate solutions in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate customer and sales records in CRM and ERP systems.
  • Participate in sales meetings, product training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
