About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth through proactive account management, seasonal sales execution, and customer engagement across defined segments. This role supports Johnny's Selected Seeds' sales strategy by aligning customer needs with product availability, seasonal demand cycles, and company priorities. The Inside Sales Representative builds strong relationships with growers and commercial customers and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure seamless customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 1–3+ years of inside sales or customer-facing experience
  • Proven ability to meet sales targets
  • Strong communication skills
  • CRM experience (Salesforce preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Agriculture, horticulture, or seed industry experience
  • Familiarity with seasonal sales cycles
  • Consultative selling experience

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of assigned accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Execute outbound sales outreach aligned with seasonal priorities
  • Identify upsell, cross-sell, and product substitution opportunities
  • Convert inbound inquiries into sales opportunities
  • Maintain pipeline activity in Salesforce
  • Align sales efforts with crop planning cycles and seasonal demand
  • Communicate product availability and substitutions
  • Build trusted customer relationships
  • Accurately document activities in Salesforce
  • Partner with Customer Care, Data Services, and Operations
