Pico Propane, a Meritum Energy Holdings Company, is seeking a motivated and qualified Inside Sales Representative focused on customer acquisition and upselling our products and services. This role involves proactive outreach, including responding to inbound inquiries, cold calling, and engaging leads from referrals or digital channels. The ideal candidate is energetic, articulate, and goal-driven, with a passion for closing sales and delivering value to customers. This position will support our Pico Propane locations in SE Florida.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to use customer management software like Salesforce efficiently
  • Assertive, self-motivated, and capable of making independent decisions
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of demonstrated ability in a customer engaging role i.e. Sales, Account Management or Customer Success

Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound calls and inquiries, providing prospective clients with information about company services
  • Support the region on inbound and self-generated inquires including new construction, generator, remodel and tank install opportunities.
  • Conduct outbound calls to new and existing customer accounts to identify and qualify sales opportunities
  • Research and generate potential leads; maintain and grow a prospect database
  • Understand client needs and recommend appropriate products or services
  • Respond to potential client questions and conduct follow-up communication
  • Conduct site visits in coordination with regional operations team as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and activities in Salesforce
  • Work closely with clients throughout the sales process to ensure satisfaction and successful closing
