About The Position

This position is responsible for the ownership, maintenance, and growth support of assigned customer accounts for both Vista Manufacturing and Vista Plastics. The Inside Sales / Customer Service role serves as the primary day-to-day contact and internal advocate for their assigned accounts, ensuring timely execution of orders, accurate communication, and a high level of customer satisfaction. This role supports the outside sales team while proactively managing customer needs, identifying trends in ordering behavior, and helping drive retention and growth through strong account knowledge and cross-functional coordination.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of customer service / order entry / inside sales experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Suite

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage assigned customer accounts as the primary internal point of contact
  • Develop strong understanding of assigned customers’ products, ordering patterns, pricing, and expectations
  • Proactively communicate with customers regarding order status, risks, delays, and general updates
  • Support new business inquiries and assist in achieving sales growth goals for assigned accounts
  • Identify changes in customer ordering patterns, gaps in demand, and potential risks or opportunities and communicate internally
  • Coordinate with Sales Managers and Product Management to support growth initiatives, new product launches, and customer opportunities
  • Maintain accurate and up to date customer pricing.
  • Timely and accurate ERP order management including order entry, order changes, order acknowledgements, and shipment notifications
  • Process and manage Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) orders where applicable
  • Facilitate order tracking and communication with Operations to meet customer-requested ship dates, including rush and sample orders
  • Work with Purchasing, Product Management, and Sales Managers on large orders, blanket orders, low stock items, and material planning needs
  • Manage and resolve all customer inquiries including order issues, billing questions, product concerns, and service requests
  • Participate in weekly Return Material Authorization (RMA) meetings and initiate/process RMAs within 24 hours and drive resolution within 5 days
  • Respond to website inquiries and initial phone inquiries as required
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to customer service, order accuracy, and internal processes
  • Understand and support Vista Quality Objectives through daily responsibilities
