About The Position

The Inside Sales Representative works collaboratively with the outside sales force to proactively increase revenue, sales pipeline, and market share. In addition, they will work cross-functionally across all commercial activities to support the commercial team in delivering delightful and effective customer experiences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business or related fields with knowledge of Life Sciences industry.
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience with B2B client interactions preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of Programs (excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Experience with Contract and Proposal writing.
  • Considerable interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate to clients, develop relationships and present creative solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares and delivers quotes for small order inquiries and sets up new customer accounts as needed.
  • Partners with Customer Service to identify customer needs.
  • Writes proposals and completes Requests for Quotes (RFQs) with the outside sales team and Product Development.
  • Supports trade shows, conventions, and expositions.
  • Manages leads through prospecting, qualification, fact finding, quoting, and closing steps.
  • Identifies and qualifies targets according to the Go To Market Strategies.
  • Manages the leads in Salesforce (SFDC) and follows up with Commercial Development Managers to identify high level targets and engagement.
  • Works in collaboration with Commercial Operations to procure accurate customer forecasts and create dashboards and reports in SFDC for specific commercial metrics.
  • Supports the Product Management team by collecting and documenting customer and competitive market intelligence.
  • Identifies and reports on opportunities for improvements in the commercial sales process and metrics.
