About The Position

Our client is an established, family-owned company and a leading distributor of rapid testing and diagnostic products. Based in the Philadelphia area, the company has been in business for more than 25 years and serves customers nationwide across healthcare, rehabilitation, law enforcement, corrections, laboratory, and other markets. As the company continues to grow, they are seeking an Inside Sales / Business Development Representative to join their team. This is an in-office position reporting directly to the CEO. They are looking for a self-motivated salesperson with a hunter mentality — someone who enjoys prospecting, cold calling, developing new relationships, and closing business. The position also provides an existing base of active customers to manage and grow.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales or business development experience with demonstrated sales success.
  • Comfortable with cold calling and proactive new-business development.
  • Self-motivated, persistent, resilient, and driven to achieve sales goals.
  • Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable with CRM systems, technology, and online prospecting tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or education in nursing, criminal justice, healthcare, drug and alcohol testing, diagnostics, or a related field is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and develop new customers throughout the U.S. through cold calling, online research, networking, and other business development activities.
  • Generate targeted prospect lists and maintain consistent outbound calling activity.
  • Manage and grow an existing portfolio of active customers.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's products, applications, benefits, and competitive advantages.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions.
  • Manage the sales process from initial outreach through pricing, negotiation, and close.
  • Build long-term customer relationships that generate repeat and expanded business.
  • Respond to inbound customer inquiries and orders as part of the sales team's rotating schedule.
  • Maintain accurate sales, customer, and pipeline information in HubSpot.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and new market opportunities.
