About The Position

Inside Sales Representative (B2B Accounts) Hirsh Industries · West Des Moines, IA (Hybrid) · Full-time Base salary (depending on experience) + annual performance bonus tied to company financial results + profit sharing. You'll own a starter book of accounts and run the support side for a national sales team. Perform well, and there's real opportunity to grow into a bigger book and outside sales. We manufacture commercial steel filing, storage, and shelving in West Des Moines, sold through national retailers, eCommerce, and contract furniture dealers. Real products, real accounts, and you're the name your customers know.

Requirements

Customer service or inside sales experience at a distributor or wholesaler (industrial, building products, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, office products)
Comfortable on the phone and like talking to customers
Organized and follow through
Ability to work in Excel and pick up systems quickly
Desire for a sales career

Responsibilities

Own a defined set of accounts as their primary contact, by phone, email, and video
Make outbound calls that matter: reactivating quiet accounts, uncovering new opportunities, closing orders
Build simple account plans and work them toward your targets
Quote pricing, resolve order issues, and support our dealers and national accounts
Keep Salesforce and our data clean so the whole team's pipeline is real
Prepare presentations, handle samples, and help run trade shows
Use modern tools to work smarter: Excel, Salesforce, and yes, AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT are part of how our team operates
