Inside Sales Professional - Driver
About The Position
The Inside Sales Professional - Driver (ISP) is responsible for identifying and serving customer needs, assisting them with product or information acquisition, and providing excellent customer service while fulfilling various customer requirements. This role involves processing orders, locating parts, supporting customer relationships, assisting with warehouse duties, promoting products and services, providing technical support, identifying prospective customers, maintaining the sales facility, processing warranties, performing inventory counts, and making occasional deliveries.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of customer service and/or sales experience
- Proficient in computers, including Microsoft Office
- Forklift experience
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record as determined by Company Driver Policies
- Qualify for and remain insurable under Company liability insurance policy
- Meet federal and state requirements to operate the vehicle
Nice To Haves
- 2 years’ experience in the HVAC industry
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders received in person (at the sales counter) or by phone, fax, and e-commerce, including company transfers and delivery requests
- Locate parts, equipment, and supplies for our customers from various sources
- Support long-term business relationships with our customers to help promote sales growth and gain acceptance
- Assist in warehouse duties, including pulling customer orders and putting away stock while occasionally operating a forklift
- Promote new and existing products, upgrades, and services to our customers
- Assist customers with technical support and problem solving
- Identify prospective/future customers through store or phone sales and communicate prospects to the sales team (Territory Managers or Account Executives)
- Maintain a professional atmosphere of the sales facility by restocking and maintaining both showroom shelves and product displays
- Process warranties
- Perform cycle counts and assist in maintaining accuracy of physical inventory
- Make occasional deliveries using a site vehicle
- Participate in after-hours on-call duties and training classes
- Work overtime as assigned
- Work cooperatively with others
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Maintain regular, punctual, and reliable physical attendance
