About The Position

The Inside Sales Manager will supervise and lead the inside sales team, providing coaching, training, performance feedback, and development. This role partners with the Branch Manager to manage staffing levels, load leveling, and participate in hiring decisions to support branch growth. The manager will drive sales growth by developing new customer relationships and cultivating existing accounts, and assist senior management in developing and executing sales strategies to drive branch revenue, increase market share, and enhance customer relationships. Key responsibilities include monitoring daily sales metrics and KPIs, preparing regular reports, ensuring efficient collaboration between departments, cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The role also involves maintaining ERP systems, increasing personal knowledge in business acumen and industry product knowledge, and performing duties requiring judgment when communicating with various personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the inside sales team, providing coaching, training, performance feedback, and development.
  • Partner with the Branch Manager to manage staffing levels, load leveling, and participate in hiring decisions to support branch growth.
  • Drive sales growth by developing new customer relationships and cultivating existing accounts.
  • Assist senior management in developing and executing sales strategies to drive branch revenue, increase market share, and enhance customer relationships.
  • Monitor daily sales metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure targets are met or exceeded and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, financial analysis, sales pipeline, customer feedback, operational status, and competitive trends.
  • Ensure efficient collaboration between sales, warehouse, operations, shipping and receiving, and customer service to ensure accurate order processing, inventory management, and delivery schedules.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key customers, vendors, and business partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support outside sales efforts as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain ERP to support transparency and real-time tracking in NetSuite.
  • Increase personal knowledge and expertise in business acumen, appropriate technology, and industry product knowledge.
  • Perform semi-routine duties where judgment is required when communicating with customers, sales representatives, and inter-company personnel.
