About The Position

Commvault is seeking a Cloud Native Sales Engineer to support pre-sales engagement across a defined territory, helping drive adoption of Commvault’s Cloud and Security SaaS solutions. This technical sales role is designed for motivated professionals who are excited to grow into trusted advisors, solution architects, and future technology leaders. This position is an opportunity to build upon a strong foundation as a subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure, SaaS solutions, cybersecurity, and customer engagement while working alongside experienced engineers and sales professionals. As part of the Cloud Native team, you’ll support current and prospective customers operating born-in-the-cloud and hybrid cloud environments. You will gain hands-on exposure to emerging technologies while designing technical solutions to real business challenges. By aligning technical capabilities to customers’ business initiatives, you will help drive revenue for Commvault’s Cloud and Security SaaS offerings while contributing to overall customer success. We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation that is curious, coachable, eager to learn, and excited about building a long-term career in emerging technology and technical sales.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in your technical career with a passion for cloud or cybersecurity technologies, customer engagement, and continuous learning.
  • Prior pre-sales experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Proven proficiency in at least one major cloud service provider
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn how to present technical ideas clearly
  • Curious problem solver who enjoys understanding how technology impacts business outcomes
  • Motivated to grow your career as a subject matter expert
  • Comfortable working in collaborative, fast-paced environments where priorities evolve rapidly with customer and market needs
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple learning opportunities and tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to pursue technical certifications and professional development opportunities
  • Ability to work independently while also learning from mentors and teammates
  • Open to occasional travel for customer meetings, training, and team collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Partner with experienced Sales Engineers and account teams to support customer engagements and learn how enterprise technology sales cycles operate
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset and assist in developing territory plans, account strategies, and technical solution recommendations
  • Learn how to identify customer business and technical challenges and solve them with Commvault’s cloud and SaaS solutions
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept activities showcasing Commvault’s differentiated platform
  • Expand your knowledge of cloud, cybersecurity, data protection, and SaaS technologies.
  • Understand competitive solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams including sales, support, product management, marketing, and engineering to ultimately gain the delight of your customers
  • Continuously grow technical and professional skills through mentorship, certifications, training programs, and hands-on experience
  • Learn industry-leading sales and consulting methodologies such as MEDDIC, Solution Selling, and Challenger
  • Provide product and process feedback to promote continuous improvement of the organization
