About The Position

National General is seeking an Inside Property Adjuster to join our Claims team! This is a fully remote role, offering the flexibility to work from home while conducting occasional in-person inspections to evaluate homeowner property claims. Prior experience handling residential homeowner claims, with proficiency in Xactimate and XactAnalysis, is highly preferred.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• Applicable active licenses needed for this role. This could include Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designated Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License.

Responsibilities

• For claims involving fraud or subrogation, partners with assigned reps from those areas to achieve best outcome
• Demonstrates intermediate understanding of insurance policies written by the company, the industry, and organizational relationships within the company and department
• Handles investigation regarding most aspects of homeowner first party claims (coverage, damages, subrogation) with the exercise of discretion and independence within increased level of authority
• Recognizes and identifies key components of residential construction and repair
• Identifies customer needs and works to meet those needs using appropriate customer service skills
• Demonstrates a basic understanding of systems and technology used within the company
• Learns how to determine subrogation or fraud potential and how to handle
