About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Inside Machinists for projects located in the Green Cove Springs, FL area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $30-35/hour based on experience and skill level. Requirements
- Previous experience as a Manual Machinist
- Strong experience operating manual lathes and milling machines
- Ability to read and work from blueprints
- Proficient with micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
- Experience repairing pumps, valves, bearings, shafts, or similar mechanical components
Nice To Haves
- Marine or ship repair machining experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Operate manual lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Use precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators
- Machine, repair, and fit components to proper specifications
- Repair ship and marine components including pumps, valves, bearings, and shafts
- Inspect finished work to ensure proper measurements and tolerances
- Follow all jobsite and shop safety procedures
