Working with commercial chain accounts, this position is responsible for the maintenance of grease traps typically located inside restaurants and supermarkets. Responsibilities include locating and uncovering traps in various areas, diagnosing any problems, pumping grease out, and ensuring traps are fully operational. This role involves providing effective communication with customers, inspecting grease trap buildup and hazards, preparing for service jobs, driving to and from job sites, removing grease buildup from commercial kitchen grease trap systems (both inside and outside), completing and submitting paperwork, responding to trouble/emergency calls, and following all company service protocols. The technician must be able to work overtime, including weekends and holidays, and be available for on-call rotations. Compliance with FMCSA and DOT regulations, practicing safe work methods, and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are also required. The work environment involves exposure to outside weather conditions, non-hazardous fumes, and noise, and requires comfort working independently and interacting with customers. Essential skills include the ability to read and interpret documents, communicate effectively, work independently under pressure, basic computer literacy, and perform basic math functions.
