About The Position

Wind River Environmental is seeking a dependable, safety-minded Pump Technician responsible for pumping and disposing of non-hazardous waste from commercial grease traps. The role involves driving a company service truck to customer locations, operating vacuum equipment, and ensuring safe, efficient service with excellent customer interaction. The position is based in the Nashville, TN Metro area (Mt Juliet / 37214). Wind River Environmental services and maintains various non-hazardous liquid waste systems, including grease traps, septic tanks, and related waste systems, for business, residential, and municipal customers throughout the East Coast. The estimated base pay range is $30.00 - $35.00 hourly, with eligibility for overtime and additional cash incentive opportunities.

Requirements

MUST BE SELF-MOTIVATED INDIVIDUAL!
Class A or B CDL
At least 1 year of professional commercial driving experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong communication and customer service skills
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
Basic computer literacy (email, internet)
Must pass a DOT drug screen, physical exam, and road test
Willingness to work in a drug-free environment

Tanker Endorsement (or willingness to obtain) a plus!

Responsibilities

Safely operate a service truck and vacuum equipment to pump grease traps (inside & outside)
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, tires, supplies)
Provide professional customer service and educate customers on system care
Identify and report defective components or hazards and recommend service options
Complete and submit required paperwork accurately and promptly
Respond to trouble/emergency calls as needed
Follow all company safety protocols and DOT regulations
Work independently while representing Wind River Environmental in the field
