CDL Driver - Class A/B
About The Position
Carter Lumber is seeking CDL Delivery Specialists who are tired of being on the road for extended periods and desire a stable, predictable schedule that allows them to be home every night. The company, founded in 1932, is a family-owned business with 90 years of experience, operating over 160 locations across thirteen states. As a CDL Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for safely and timely transporting orders to local customer jobsites using a well-maintained, company-owned fleet. You will ensure daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service. On-site, you will unload materials using a dump bed or truck-mounted forklift to place them as needed by the customer.
Requirements
- Previous delivery experience, preferably with building materials
- Experience operating a truck-mounted forklift
- An acceptable driving record and a current CDL license

- Familiarity with building materials and delivery equipment
Responsibilities
- Transport orders to local customer jobsites in a safe and timely manner using our well-maintained and company-owned fleet
- Ensure that daily delivery schedules are met while providing friendly and professional customer service
- Unload using dump bed or truck-mounted forklift to place the customer’s materials right where they need them
