About The Position

ABB is hiring an Inserter for its Inserter Team at the Fort Smith, Arkansas facility. This onsite, second-shift position reports to the Production Supervisor. The role involves operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, including insert machines, coil winders, and pre-form presses. The employee adjusts machine settings using blueprints and layouts and uses equipment such as air manipulators and hoists.

The Inserter follows manufacturing documents, performs basic measurements and calculations, and meets production and quality standards. The role requires collaboration, communication about issues, flexibility to support cross-training and different tasks, attention to workplace safety and housekeeping, regular attendance, and availability for overtime when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of industrial or military experience, or vocational/technical education.
• Motor manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Valid U.S. work authorization.
• Ability to read, speak, and write English proficiently to maintain a safe work environment.
• Regular attendance and availability for overtime are essential job functions.
