About The Position

Taylor Print & Visual Impressions, a Taylor Corporation company, is looking for an Equipment Operator to join the Bloomington, IL Team. This role involves preparing and operating printing press equipment according to job specifications and company quality standards. The operator will also perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal output, prepare inks for correct color and consistency, and check paper for type, size, color, and quantity. Additionally, the role requires checking plates for correct format, visually inspecting forms throughout the run for quality, and coordinating with the Production Team to manage job priorities and deadlines. Maintaining knowledge of safety requirements for the job and equipment is also essential. The shift for this position is the 2nd Shift, from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Ability to set adjustable mechanism to required tolerances
Math skills and attention to detail
Mechanical ability
Good reading ability

Responsibilities

Prepare and operate printing press equipment, in compliance with job specifications and in accordance with company quality standards and procedures
Performs daily/weekly/monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimum output
Prepare inks for proper color and consistency
Check paper for type, size, color and quantity
Check plates for correct format
Visually inspect forms throughout run for quality
Coordinate with Production Team to produce and prioritize jobs, and when necessary reorganize to meet deadline changes and updates
Maintain knowledge of safety requirements of job and equipment
