About The Position

Horizon Health, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), is seeking an Inpatient Travel Therapist specializing in Behavioral Health for a 13-week assignment in Ocala, FL. This full-time position involves a 40-hour work week with a 5x8 schedule, including a weekend rotation. The role offers an enhanced hourly rate and a tax-exempt stipend where applicable, bi-weekly pay, and paid travel to and from the assignment. Horizon Health's Adventure RN program provides flexible employment opportunities across a national network of behavioral health facilities, aiming to improve patient well-being. This role allows for independence, variety, and collaboration within a large, nationwide network, offering career development and the potential for intercompany transfers to permanent positions without benefit interruption.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling, or psychology
  • Licensed in the state of Florida (ex. LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC) is preferred but not required
  • At least one year of experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies and treatment skills
  • Must have strong clinical assessment skills
  • Adolescent drug addiction experience highly desired
  • Successful completion of a Level II background screening

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed in the state of Florida (ex. LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC) is preferred but not required
  • Adolescent drug addiction experience highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Conduct therapeutic groups for patients.
  • Interview and develop psychological histories, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family.
  • Develop appropriate treatment objectives and weekly treatment summaries.
  • Act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay as well as their advocate with the treatment team.
  • Work as a liaison with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.
  • Provide high quality patient care, displaying good skills in assessment of patients’ functional needs and outcomes; consulting with and participating as part of the patients’ treatment team.
  • Work within a team environment to ensure that each treatment modality is appropriate for the patient.
  • Complete and maintain all required documentation in a timely manner consistent with policies and regulations.
