About The Position

This is a full-time, 90% FTE position for an Inpatient RN in Emergency Medicine. The role involves working the night shift from 7 PM to 7 AM, with three 12-hour shifts every other weekend and rotating holidays. The position is located at UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital in northern Illinois.

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
Basic Life Support/CPR Certification.
ACLS certification (maintain).
PALS certification (maintain).
CPI certification.
ENPC certification (obtain within 18 months of employment).
TNCC certification (obtain within 18 months of employment).
ECRN certification (obtain within 18 months of employment).

Nice To Haves

Specialty certification in area of concentration.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Medicine department.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Monitor patient conditions and document observations.
Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care.
Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment plans.
Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
