About The Position

Work Schedule: 90% FTE, 3-12 hour shifts 3:00p-3:00a with rotating weekends and holidays. You will work at the UW Health Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. Additional components of compensation include impressive shift differentials - $4/ hr evening, $5 hr night, and $4.25/ hr weekend shift differential as applicable for hours worked. Additional components of compensation may include: overtime and on-call pay.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing program.
  • Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained.
  • Current RN licensure to practice in the State of Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support/CPR Certification.
  • RN must obtain the following certifications within 6 months of employment: ACLS (maintain), PALS (maintain) and CPI.
  • RN must also obtain and maintain the following certifications within 18 months of employment: ENPC, TNCC and ECRN.

  • Specialty certification in area of concentration.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Medicine department.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and condition.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
