About The Position

The Inpatient Rehab Occupational Therapist helps patients regain independence, confidence, and quality of life after illness or injury. The therapist delivers compassionate, evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s goals and capabilities, working with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to evaluate patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and provide hands-on treatment throughout recovery. The role includes access to clinical resources and professional growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited School of Occupational Therapy.
• BLS certification at time of hire.
• Licensed in the State of Virginia.

• Previous experience in an acute care facility is preferred; new graduates are considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients’ clinical care.
• Support satisfaction among patients, visitors, physicians, and staff while upholding ICARE values.
• Participate in and understand Quality Management activities.
• Communicate effectively.
• Understand and follow hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Promote cost-effective unit operations.
• Document care using the appropriate tools.
