About The Position

Plans and delivers professional nursing care to patients in accordance with the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and Cherokee Nation Health Services' mission, vision, and values.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing from a two-year college or technical school
  • License as a Registered Nurse (RN) from the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN) or possess a multistate RN license accepted by the OBN
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
  • Triage Competency (Minimum of 1 year Emergency Department (ED) experience) before performing triage
  • Not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
  • May be required to meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care
  • A driver’s license may be required to work in some departments. If so, the applicant/employee must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets the requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating.

  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) Interpretation and Dysrhythmia Course – within 6 months of hire and maintain annually.
