About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at Suwannee Correctional Institution located in Live Oak, Florida. This role involves leading inpatient psychiatric services for a male patient population within a correctional institution that utilizes innovative programming for individuals with serious mental illness. The Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment, work under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and offer clinical leadership to a multi-disciplinary team.

Requirements

Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of accredited residency program required.
Current license to practice medicine in Florida required.
Board Certification for Certification in Psychiatry.
Must have an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate.
Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification.
Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as psychiatrist in a clinical setting preferred.
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting.
Experience in correctional mental health care or locked unit preferred.
