About The Position

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Inpatient Psychiatrist to join their team at Reception and Medical Center in Lake Butler, Florida. This role involves providing inpatient services or reception and outpatient psychiatric services within a large male correctional hospital. The psychiatrist will care for patients with complex comorbid psychiatric and general medical conditions. The position offers the opportunity to practice in a setting that qualifies for NHSC Loan Repayment. The Psychiatrist provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients, works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director, and provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

Completed US psychiatry residency required.
Documentation of education as MD or DO and completion of US accredited psychiatry residency program required.
Current license to practice medicine in Florida as a psychiatrist required.
Board Certification or Eligible in Psychiatry required.
Must have an active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate.
Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR certification.
Must be able to pass background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Nice To Haves

Minimum of two (2) years of experience practicing as psychiatrist in a clinical setting preferred.
Experience in correctional mental health care or locked unit preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis and treatment for patients.
Works under the supervision of the Psychiatric Medical Director.
Provides clinical leadership for a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients with psychiatric disorders or other mental health issues.
