About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Inpatient Pharmacist for a full-time temporary contract opportunity at a behavioral health hospital in Merrillville, Indiana. The pharmacist will work with an established pharmacy team in an inpatient setting that includes neuroscience and oncology services. The contract is expected to last at least three months, with an ASAP start and a 40-hour workweek. The pay rate is $68–$76 per hour.
Requirements
- Active Indiana Pharmacist license.
- Recent inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
- Sterile compounding experience.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clinical staff.
Nice To Haves
- EPIC experience.
- Familiarity with Omnicell and Perata.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify inpatient medication orders.
- Prepare and oversee sterile compounded medications.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff to support patient care.
- Monitor medication therapies and ensure safe medication distribution.
- Use pharmacy systems and automation to support daily operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and regulatory compliance.
