About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a six-month contract opportunity with a specialty infusion pharmacy in Tukwila, WA. This position offers the opportunity to work in a specialized pharmacy environment, with responsibilities focused on medication staging and verification to support safe and efficient infusion pharmacy operations.
Requirements
- Active Washington State Pharmacist license in good standing
- Infusion or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medication safety and prescription verification
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively within established pharmacy workflows
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Perform pharmacist verification duties within the Staging and Verification Room (SVR)
- Review medication orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness
- Support safe and efficient medication staging and processing
- Identify and resolve medication order discrepancies
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and other pharmacy staff
- Maintain compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations and established procedures
- Support accurate and timely medication preparation and distribution workflows
