About The Position

Specialty Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Pharmacist for a retail float opportunity throughout the Portland area. This assignment offers competitive pay, approximately 40 hours per week, and the flexibility and variety of working across multiple pharmacy locations throughout the Portland market. The assignment is expected to continue through the end of December 2026, with the possibility of additional coverage based on future needs.

Requirements

• Active Oregon Pharmacist license in good standing
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Flexibility to provide coverage at multiple Portland-area locations
• Strong patient care and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to different pharmacy teams and environments
• Commitment to providing high-quality and efficient pharmacy services

Responsibilities

• Provide pharmacist coverage across Portland-area retail pharmacies
• Review, verify, and accurately dispense prescriptions
• Counsel patients and answer medication-related questions
• Support efficient daily pharmacy operations
• Collaborate with pharmacy teams to provide high-quality patient care
• Maintain compliance with applicable pharmacy regulations and standards
