Inpatient Medical Psych Nurse - Faulkner
About The Position
The 2 South inpatient unit consists of 24 psychiatric beds. The inpatient unit provides general psychiatric care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. It is a multidisciplinary, full service, therapeutic environment with an eclectic approach. It offers intensive individual, group, family, activity, occupational, and somatic therapies. Psychological testing and ECT is available when indicated. Requirements
- Bachelor's in Nursing is required.
- Massachusetts Registered Nurse Licensure required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required.
- A minimum of one-year inpatient psychiatry required.
Responsibilities
- Provides general psychiatric care to adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Works compassionately with persons who experience behavioral health issues on a secure inpatient psychiatric unit.
- Adheres to all I C.A.R.E. standards.
- Demonstrates basic analytic thinking necessary to care for a group of patients.
- Demonstrates observational skills and the ability to set priorities.
- Functions under stress with good interpersonal and communication skills.
