About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a full-time Clinical Dietitian at WellStar MCG Health Medical Center in Augusta, GA. This 517-bed adult hospital is a Level 1 Trauma academic hospital with 68 adult critical care beds (Trauma, MICU, ICU, Neurology ICU and CVICU). Our Dietitians have order writing privileges. This opportunity is ideal for both Registered Dietitian Eligible candidates as well as experienced RDs!

Requirements

Registered Dietitian credentials and be licensed in GA or RDE status
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good time management skills
Be a self-starter and a team player
The ability to work well with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

Provide nutritional care for patients in Med-Surg, Surgery and Step-down units
Provide feeding tube placement
Work 1 weekend day a month, providing hospital-wide coverage
Perform quality improvement initiatives such as patient satisfaction rounds and monthly test trays
Educate healthcare team members, including physicians and nurses
Precept dietetic interns
