About The Position

Excellent career opportunity for a C&A Psychiatrist to provide services for Children and Adolescents within an Inpatient setting. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in diagnosing and treating individuals with psychiatric disorders, substance use disorders, and medical problems. Your expertise will help guide our interdisciplinary team in providing comprehensive care that aligns with our treatment philosophy.

Requirements

Licensed in the State of Minnesota to practice medicine.
Successfully completed an accredited Postgraduate Training Residency.
Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and General/Adult Psychiatry.
Ability to maintain required medical staff privileges and malpractice insurance.
Knowledgeable about adult, adolescent, and child psychiatric disorders, as well as advanced principles of abnormal psychology.
Ability to maintain information as highly confidential.
Ability to clearly summarize pertinent clinical information via written correspondence and medical record documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, and able to access and use intranet sites as necessary.
Ability to smoothly and rapidly shift between dissimilar tasks.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to react quickly and calmly as part of a team to handle volatile and potentially emergency situations, making effective decisions under stress.
After training, capable of managing disruptive and explosive patients.
DEA certification is required.

Responsibilities

Lead the interdisciplinary team in supporting PrairieCare’s treatment programs, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care.
Deliver high-quality treatment to adults, adolescents, and children with psychiatric and substance use disorders, as well as their families, in accordance with your granted Medical Staff privileges.
Provide services across various settings, including hospital, partial hospital, intensive outpatient, outpatient, and residential programs.
Stay informed about follow-up resource services available to adults, adolescents, and children to ensure continuity of care.
Conduct individual and family therapy sessions, fostering a supportive environment for healing and growth.
