About The Position

The Innovation Intern supports the innovation team in the planning, execution, and analysis of product and packaging initiatives. This role assists with researching and developing new product ideas, contributing to innovation pipelines, and supporting go‑to‑market activities aligned with brand and business objectives. The intern collaborates with cross‑functional partners to help coordinate project tasks, analyze data, and prepare presentations and documentation. Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple projects with guidance, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and a willingness to learn and contribute in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. This role requires the selected candidate to work in office at Tyson Foods’ Springdale, AR World Headquarters and must live within a commutable range of the office year-round to be considered.

Requirements

  • Incoming junior, senior, or graduate student with at least one year of coursework remaining.
  • Preferred majors include business operations, supply chain, marketing, finance, or accounting.
  • Previous work experience preferred; experience related to the internship function is strongly preferred (e.g., exposure to industry‑standard tools, systems, or workflows).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present information clearly.
  • Professional, collaborative, and able to work effectively with cross‑functional partners.
  • Demonstrated reliability, responsiveness to feedback, and strong attention to detail.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Excel; familiarity with Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to learn new technologies or discipline‑relevant systems quickly.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
  • Self‑motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Available for 40 hours per week in summer; up to 20 hours per week during school year.
  • Resume must include expected graduation date and major/area of study.
  • Must live within 60 miles of the facility.
  • Must demonstrate the maturity, professionalism, and foundational skills needed to contribute meaningfully in a corporate environment.
