About The Position

The Innovation & Strategic Analyst is responsible for supporting the vision and strategic direction of the Livingstone Campus Police/Public Safety Department by driving innovation, operational modernization, and strategic growth initiatives. This position serves as a key partner to the Vice President/Chief of Police, working to enhance departmental effectiveness through technology integration, recruitment and branding strategies, program development, and data-driven decision-making. The role is designed to strengthen the department’s ability to remain competitive, forward-thinking, and aligned with best practices in higher education and public safety, while also providing direct administrative and strategic support to executive leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Public Administration, Criminal Justice Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, innovation, or operational support.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing technology solutions or process improvements.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and collaborating across departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MPA, or related field) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies that modernize departmental operations and improve overall performance.
  • Create goals and initiatives that encourage innovative thinking and continuous improvement across the department.
  • Research innovative trends within the department to help the agency stay up to date on advancements.
  • Identify new opportunities, emerging technologies, and market trends to ensure competitive advantages.
  • Analyze operational data to identify process gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Develop recruitment, branding, and marketing strategies to enhance departmental visibility and attract qualified candidates.
  • Create graphics and informational content for the department’s website, social media, and digital communications.
  • Strengthen the department’s brand as a modern, innovative, and professional public safety organization.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners (Student Affairs, Criminal Justice Department, Business Department, Admissions, Police & Sheriff’s Department).
  • Develop and maintain partnerships that support recruitment, student engagement, and community outreach.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives that strengthen institutional effectiveness.
  • Implement AI-driven and technology-based solutions to improve efficiency, communications, and engagement.
  • Evaluate and recommend digital tools and systems that enhance departmental operations.
  • Collaborate with information technology and campus partners to support system integration and functionality.
  • Support training and adoption of new technologies across the department.
