About The Position

Support a variety of transportation and emerging technology engineering, planning and analysis tasks with the goal of developing analytical, technical, social, and ethical skills. Learn basic principles of transit data, transit fleet and facilities operations, organizational design, fleet engineering, and systems engineering.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship experience in a related field.
• Experience with data analysis tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
• Familiarity with transportation systems or emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project research, data analysis, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analysis.
• Support preparation of final design plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
