About The Position

We are looking for an innovative engineer to design the next generation of world-class fulfillment centers and logistics systems across the globe. This role offers a high level of ownership in solving complex problems and designing systems that leverage groundbreaking automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics. You will partner with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost-effective solutions for our fulfillment and distribution systems. You will own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval, acting as the primary point of technical contact for suppliers. After design completion and approval, you will hand off the project to the Ops Engineering team for installation and commissioning, continuing to engage to ensure successful launch. Projects may include green-fields, brown-fields, and retrofits, encompassing highly automated fulfillment centers, cross-dock facilities, and transportation centers, with a mix of template-based and custom-designed solutions. You will work in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment with a team of highly skilled and engaged engineers on hundreds of projects annually, offering opportunities for learning and growth on high-impact, high-visibility projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Civil Engineering
2+ years of Amazon experience

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Technology, Science, Operations Research, Robotics, Mathematics or related fields
Associate's degree or above and experience working for Amazon or any Amazon subsidiary or affiliate

Responsibilities

Partner with internal and external teams to design high quality, cost effective solutions for fulfillment and distribution systems.
Own multiple projects simultaneously, from concept realization through design approval.
Serve as the primary point of technical contact for suppliers on assigned projects.
Engage with the Ops Engineering team post-design approval to ensure successful installation, commissioning, and launch of systems.
Design systems that leverage automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and robotics.
