About The Position

Swiss Re is seeking intellectually curious, motivated early-career talent who are completing or have recently completed a bachelor’s degree for their rotational Graduate Programme, starting Fall 2027. This program offers hands-on experience in reinsurance and commercial insurance, with tailored training to build expertise. The Innovation Analyst role focuses on shaping the future of underwriting, claims, pricing, and R&D by exploring innovation, technology, data, and new working methods to create value. The role involves collaborating with teams across Swiss Re to turn ideas into practical solutions, supporting strategic initiatives, and gaining exposure to various business areas. The Life and Health Mortality Innovation & Transformation team specifically works on modernizing underwriting and claims, exploring health and wellness opportunities, leveraging data and AI, improving client experiences, and driving business outcomes through new ideas. The team is described as curious, collaborative, and supportive, offering graduates exposure to strategy, technology, creativity, and execution.

Requirements

  • Have completed, or are about to complete, a bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Design, Healthcare, Finance, or a related field; relevant master’s or doctoral degrees may also be considered.
  • Demonstrated academic rigor through course selection and performance; a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 is expected.
  • No more than three years of professional experience.
  • Intellectually curious and motivated to learn, connect ideas, and solve business challenges in innovative ways.
  • Think analytically, solve complex problems, and enjoy working with data to identify opportunities and develop recommendations.
  • Communicate clearly and confidently, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships and adapt your style to work effectively with diverse teams and perspectives.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities, activities, and deadlines.

  • Interest in innovation, digital transformation, AI, data, automation, or emerging technologies and their application to business challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Support innovation and transformation projects from early ideas through implementation.
  • Explore how digital tools, data, automation, and AI can improve processes, decisions, and client experiences.
  • Collaborate with business, technology, analytics, operations, and client-facing teams.
  • Create presentations, communications, project updates, and other materials that help bring new solutions to life.
  • Develop your professional network and industry knowledge through exposure to clients, conference participation, webinars, and collaboration with colleagues across Swiss Re and the broader market.

  • The base salary for this role is $70,000. Candidates with advanced degrees may be eligible for a higher base compensation. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only and do not include short-term incentives or other benefits offered.
