As a Inmate Transport Officer in Milwaukee, WI, you will serve and safeguard the transport of Inmates to and from the Milwaukee County Jail. Requirements

• Must be 21+ years of age
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Prior Law Enforcement or Military or Corrections experience required
• A concealed carry weapons permit
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
