About The Position

The Inline Operator leads and coordinates the Inline machine to achieve planned results by maximizing machine output, communicating expectations, maintaining a safe working environment, and initiating continuous improvement projects. The operator sets up and runs the Inline according to work instructions, monitors production quality, and troubleshoots technical issues while running product. This role also uses an overhead crane and forklift to move product and promotes housekeeping, 5S, and safety practices. The position is on the second shift, Monday through Friday, from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Requirements

• Read and comprehend written and verbal instructions.
• Have written and verbal communication skills.
• Have basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Work collaboratively with others and help colleagues.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and work instructions.
• Hold a required forklift certification.
• Operate production equipment and follow applicable safety procedures.
• Be self-motivated and able to perform day-to-day tasks without guidance.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and produce quality product on the Inline to customer satisfaction.
• Set up the Inline to specifications according to work instructions.
• Operate an overhead crane and drive a forklift to move product.
• Promote good housekeeping, 5S, and safety practices in daily activities.
• Perform all tasks assigned to the Inline in a timely manner.
• Solve technical issues while running product.
• Complete assigned instructions from VSL.
• Maintain a safe working environment and initiate continuous improvement projects.
• Use senses to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
